ALTEA partners, Robin Dunlop and Michael Hoby Andersen, discuss why many business jet owners are choosing to refurbish rather than buy and the trends in cabin refurbishment requirements, in the Winter issue of EVA.
Hoby Andersen comments “By investing in a modern CMS (cabin management system) and new IFE (inflight entertainment) system, installing advanced Wi-Fi and satcom, upgrading seats and interior finishes and even opting for a new exterior livery, owners can enjoy a refreshed ‘new aircraft’ experience, without the significant expense or delay associated with buying another jet.”
Dunlop explains that “Owners of all ages have the internet at their fingertips 24/7 so in many cases they really do their own research. Our job is to look at all those requests, ideas, materials, and colours and to then create a vision that will be not only be equally appealing but also interprets the customer’s wishes into a concept that can be engineered, manufactured and installed.”
